Privacy Policy
This policy explains what information AyeKilla: Unsupervised collects through this website, how we use it, and who we share it with. The podcast and this website are operated by Aye Ceee and Killary K ("we," "us").
What we collect
- First name and email address, when you sign up to hear about new episodes.
- Your state (or that you're outside the US), and your city if you choose to give it. See "How we use your location" below.
- Mobile phone number, only if you choose to give it.
- Your text message consent, meaning whether you checked the box to receive texts, and when.
- Basic technical data that any website receives, such as your IP address and browser type. Our hosting provider and the services that deliver this page's fonts and code may log this data to run their services. This site may also use the Meta Pixel, described under "Advertising on social media" below.
How we use it
- To email you about the podcast: episode releases, show news, and related announcements from the hosts.
- To send text messages, only if you opted in to texts.
- To keep a record of your consent and honor your unsubscribe requests.
We do not sell your personal information.
Advertising on social media
We may use your information to show ads about the podcast on Meta platforms (Facebook and Instagram). This is called targeted advertising. Specifically, we may:
- Upload your email address to Meta in a scrambled (hashed) form, so Meta can show our ads to you, leave you out of ads you've already acted on, or find other people with similar interests ("lookalike audiences"). Meta uses this only to match and then deletes the scrambled data under its own terms.
- Use the Meta Pixel on this website, which lets Meta know you visited so we can show you our ads later.
We never upload your phone number, your text message opt-in, or your text consent status to Meta or any advertising platform.
You can opt out of targeted advertising at any time. Check the "Don't use my info to show me ads" box when you sign up, or email ayekillaunsupervised@gmail.com with the subject "Ad opt-out" and we'll remove you from all ad audiences within 15 days. Opting out of ads does not unsubscribe you from our emails or texts.
How we use your location
- Timing. To send emails, texts, and episode announcements at reasonable hours in your time zone, and to follow state rules on when marketing texts may be sent.
- Show topics and guests. To know where our listeners are, so we can talk about topics and find guests and local stories from their areas when it fits the show.
- Merch. To decide what merchandise to make and where to offer it.
- Sponsor conversations. To describe our audience to potential sponsors using combined state-level totals only, for example "40% of our subscribers are in Virginia." We never share city-level numbers with sponsors, and we never give sponsors your name, email, phone number, or any information that identifies you.
Text messages (SMS)
If you check the text message box and give your number, you agree to receive recurring marketing texts from AyeKilla: Unsupervised about new episodes and show news.
- Message frequency: varies.
- Message and data rates may apply.
- Reply STOP at any time to stop texts. Reply HELP for help.
- Consent to texts is not required to sign up for email or to listen to the show.
- Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
We will not share or sell your mobile number, your text message opt-in, or your consent status with any third party for marketing or any other purpose unrelated to delivering our text messages. The only exception is the service providers listed below that we use to send messages, and they may use it only for that purpose.
Who we share it with
We share your information only with service providers that help us run the signup list and send messages:
- Klaviyo, which stores our email and text subscriber list and sends our emails and texts.
- Mobile carriers and messaging providers, as needed to deliver texts.
- Cloudflare, which hosts this website.
- Meta Platforms, for advertising as described above. Meta never receives phone numbers or text message consent.
We may share combined, non-identifying totals (such as the share of subscribers in each state) with sponsors or potential sponsors. These totals never include anyone's name, contact details, or text message consent.
We may also share information if the law requires it, or to protect our rights or the safety of others.
How long we keep it
We keep your information while you're subscribed. If you unsubscribe, we keep a record of that so we don't contact you again. You can ask us to delete your information at any time.
Your choices
- Email: use the unsubscribe link at the bottom of any email.
- Texts: reply STOP.
- Targeted ads: check the opt-out box when you sign up, or email us with the subject "Ad opt-out" (see above).
- Access or deletion: email us at ayekillaunsupervised@gmail.com and we'll respond within 30 days.
Children
This website and our messages are not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them. If you believe a child has signed up, contact us and we'll delete it.
Changes
If we change this policy, we'll update the date at the top of this page. If the change is significant, we'll tell subscribers by email.
